Position Overview: This position is responsible for leading and managing the department(s) in accomplishing strategic goals to include Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP). This includes making decisions on changes in the production schedule, headcount, safety, and quality issues. This person oversees Team Leads to ensure they promote a safe, quality and team focused working environment at all times.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties: \n - Drive employee engagement, training, and NES deployment
\n - Hold Team Leads and all team members accountable to sustain 5S in all areas of their department(s) (5S= Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
\n - Maintain and coordinate production schedule to include managing OT and headcount needs
\n - Supervise and develop Team Leads; complete performance reviews, identify personnel and overtime requirements; work with management on staffing resolutions; address employee relation concerns; manage direct reports time keep and vacation in organization's time keep program
\n - Enforce policy compliance; manage Team Leads and team members performance through Nelson Discipline process
\n - Facilitate in partnership with safety leadership, near miss investigations, safety, and employee incidents
\n - Recommend, drive and support Continuous Improvement projects
\n - Ensure employee satisfaction and follow up on employee relations concerns. This includes overseeing performance evaluations for consistency and fairness to company standards and expectations and between teams.
\n - Maintain and uphold department goals surrounding safety, quality, on time delivery and communicate this information daily to the Operations Manager
\n - Work with HR around employee issues, investigation, and policy conformance
\n - Keep department(s) safe and Clean (5S= Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
\n - Provide leadership with production and financial information as requested to ensure we meet our business needs
\n - Complete timely and accurate paperwork
\n - Delegate responsibilities as needed
\n - Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Education & Experience Requirements: \n - Min. 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
\n - Min of 2-3 years' experience in a supervision or leadership role
\n
\n
Preferred Education & Experience Requirements: - Experience developing leaders is preferred
\n
Skills & Abilities: \n - Understanding of manufacturing processes
\n - Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
\n - Must have the ability to attend and complete Training on off hours. Complete Mandatory Leadership classes
\n - Must have proficiency in reading and writing
\n - Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing work
\n - Common approach to continuous improvement
\n - Team player with a very positive attitude, willing to be a champion of change
\n - Strong oral and written communication skills
\n - Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization
