This is a weekend position for a Registered Nurse (RN) working 3 twelve-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM. The RN performs all scheduled visits and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting thorough physical, psychosocial, and environmental assessments of assigned patients, updating care plans, communicating with physicians and primary nurses, providing ongoing assessment of patient responses to treatments, scheduling patients and case conferences, assisting with discharge planning, and accurately documenting patient records. The RN must follow published policies and procedures, perform patient positioning and transporting duties, and demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served. Licensure required includes a Registered Nurse license issued by the practicing state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association within 6 months, and a valid driver's license. Education required is an Associate's Degree in Nursing with typically 2 years of nursing experience. Skills required include clinical proficiency, excellent communication, ability to develop rapport, critical decision-making, organization, prioritization, and multitasking. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, move in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform sliding transfers with assistance.
