We’re looking for a motivated and creative Web Design Intern to join our team and help shape the online presence of our growing media brand.
Role Overview:
As a Web Design Intern at MBJ Network, you will assist in designing, updating, and optimizing websites that reflect our editorial and brand vision. This is a great opportunity to work on real-world projects, build your portfolio, and gain hands-on experience with a collaborative and fast-paced media team
*This is a 100% UNPAID internship | 3-6 months | Remote
* Executive letters of recommendation are awarded after the completion of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with designers, developers, and editors to create responsive, user-friendly web pages and layouts.
Assist in wireframing, prototyping, and designing pages for desktop and mobile.
Help maintain and update existing web content using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress or similar).
Support website testing, UX improvement, and performance optimization efforts.
Apply branding and style guidelines consistently across all digital touchpoints.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, UX/UI, or a related field.
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Photoshop.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript experience is a plus.
Passion for clean, modern design and intuitive user experiences.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Portfolio or examples of design work (personal, academic, or professional) strongly preferred.
