Position Summary... We’re looking for a Director to lead a team focused on creating initiatives for future strategies across Walmart’s omnichannel supply chain. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with expectations to deliver immediate results. You’ll be responsible for developing a long-term strategy and transformative path for Walmart’s growing omnichannel business. What you'll do... Responsibilities Lead, hire, and mentor a team of supply chain strategists and analytical leaders in an agile environment. Manage projects from start to finish, including cross-functional coordination, data analysis, modeling, and communication of insights. Build scalable supply chain models to optimize strategies, balancing customer experience with operational costs. Develop relationships within Walmart to identify best practices and gather support for initiatives. Identify opportunities and influence execution through cross-functional collaboration. Secure alignment and support from business partners for projects and drive change. Organize resources effectively to ensure project success. You will thrive in this role if you: Bring creativity and originality to developing solutions for supply chain improvements using statistical and analytical methods. Handle ambiguity well and make independent decisions based on data. Communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Have experience leading a team of supply chain practitioners and data scientists. Potential projects include: Creating models to analyze and optimize the supply chain network for future sales growth. Developing inventory and distribution strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs. Developing logic and tools for outbound transportation lane strategies. Qualifications Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience, or 8 years in an analytics-related role. Preferred Qualifications Advanced skills in data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in relevant fields, and experience with Python, Spark, Scala, or R are valued.
