Position Overview\n

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role involves providing care to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations, primarily located within the Cardiovascular Lab on the fourth floor. Staff members are available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table according to established protocols.
\n
• Conduct continuous assessments of patient hemodynamics.
\n
• Administer and maintain IV/IC infusions and bolus dosages.
\n
• Alert the Physician to any changes in patient responses.
\n
• Assist the Physician in interventional procedures.
\n
• Manage the recovery process for patients to Phase I.
\n

\n\nRequirements\n

\n
• A minimum of 2 years of current experience in the Cath Lab is required.
\n
• Expertise in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures is required.
\n
• Moderate Sedation Certification is highly preferred.
\n
• Experience with catheter and peripheral procedures, STEMI, and STEMI call is required.
\n
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings is required.
\n
• Experience with conscious sedation is required.
\n
• IV experience is required.
\n
• Experience with EP procedures is highly preferred.
\n
• Reliable transportation is required.
\n
• Candidates must have a strong commitment to patient care.
\n

\n\nAdditional Information\n

Requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be noted upon submission; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. The dress code permits personal scrubs of any color, but they must not contain designs or cartoons. No hoodies are allowed. A non-billable orientation of 8 hours is required.
