Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
\tWeekend coverage required
\tPreferred Qualifications:
2 years of inpatient and/or critical care experience
\tCNSC certification preferred
\t Job Summary:
The Inpatient Dietitian provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition assessments for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients , with documentation completed in the medical record.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess nutritional status using screening tools, including the Malnutrition Screening Tool
\tDiagnose malnutrition and develop nutrition interventions
\tMonitor patient outcomes to improve nutrition status, reduce medical costs, and decrease length of stay
\tImplement and modify diet and nutrition-related orders using physician- or facility-driven protocols, including:
\tDiet and texture modifications
\t\tOral nutrition supplements and dietary supplements
\t\tNutrition-related labs, medications, and education/counseling
\t\tManage nutrition support therapies, including enteral and parenteral nutrition , such as:
\tFormula selection and rate adjustments
\t\tAddition of medications, vitamins, and minerals
\t\tSupplemental water for enteral nutrition
\t\tParticipate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
\tAttend departmental meetings, staff development activities, patient care rounds, and professional programs
