POSITION SUMMARY

Provide technical support and analysis for quality and reliability issues, and for new product testing and QA support of manufacturing.

  • Able to perform evaluations and reports information on products that are returned due to defects or other quality related reasons
  • \n
  • Conduct product audits
  • \n
  • Maintain quality database
  • \n
  • Prepare reports and graphs pertaining to quality
  • \n
  • Ensure QA lab is well organized and clean, and equipment is in good condition
  • \n
  • Update and maintain QA records/files
  • \n
  • Act as key point of contact in the internal quality process audit team
  • \n

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    \n
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • \n
  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred
  • \n
  • 1-3 years QA experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • \n
  • Ability to obtain a Quality Auditor/Technician Certification
  • \n
  • Telecommunications product knowledge a plus
  • \n
  • Ability to read, write, and process basic math
  • \n
  • Perform all work assignments with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions
  • \n
  • May require the use of a forklift, pallet jack, and/or hand truck
  • \n
  • Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed
  • \n
  • Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules
  • \n
  • Remain open to and supportive of team ideas and management decisions
  • \n
  • Display cross-cultural sensitivity while working in a diverse employee population
  • \n
  • Able to accept constructive criticism and feedback, and respond in an appropriate manner

  • Experience working in a team environment, and/or independently

LANGUAGE AND READING SKILLS

  • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
  • \n
  • Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills are required

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in the use of word processing, excel spreadsheets, email and databases required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

An employee in this position works in an open manufacturing and office environment. The employee may be required to work on or around equipment that produces radiant heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, industrial chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, though the employee may occasionally be subject to higher noise levels.
