Position Description

Tank Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects by ensuring compliance with the plans and specifications, meeting critical deadlines, and completing the job within budget. The Project Manager is tasked with overseeing company policies and procedures are being followed in the field by the construction crews. The Project Manager is responsible for organizing and leading the team by implementing project controls, defining roles and responsibilities, developing communication protocols, and identifying elements of project design and construction to reduce the likelihood of disputes and claims.

Position Responsibilities:

The Project Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for managing tank assessment and repair projects for assigned tanks.
• Work closely with the Safety, Procurement, Accounting, Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Field Engineering, and Operations.
• Prepare inspection plans, requests for quotes, job plans, tank repair plans, material requisitions, work orders for services, cost tracking, budgeting, and monthly forecasting and accruals associated with assessment and repair activities.
• Review, validate and approve invoices within delegated authority limits.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Project site visits to ensure compliance with company programs, quality control inspections, and coordination meetings
• Provide technical support during the review of Tank processes and procedures to maintain consistent assessment and repair practices.
• Stay current with tank regulations, industry standards, inspection methods, NDE methods, repair methods, and other applicable technologies.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the above-ground storage tank industry.
• Working knowledge of the industry standards including API 650/653 & AWWA D-100.
• Excellent communications skills and computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Technical knowledge and practical working experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of tanks.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.
• Employment is contingent upon completion of all pre-employment screening, i.e. background and drug screen.
