Prestige Staffing is looking for a  Surgery Scheduler  to work full time in Atlanta, GA!

Hours : Monday - Friday 9-5
EMR : ECW
Pay : 22/hour

• We are looking for an individual with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• 2+ years of experience in a medical-surgical scheduling setting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and insurance terminology
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in computers, relevant software applications, and EHR systems

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures with hospitals and surgery centers for both inpatient and outpatient surgeries
• The job also requires coordinating pre-operative and post-operative appointments, answering patient questions, discussing the surgical procedure, informing patients regarding insurance coverage and patient responsibility, and maintaining an efficient schedule for the surgeons
• Follow up with the patients to provide information and then communicate to the appropriate staff
• Performs prior authorizations for scheduled procedures
• Performs work-related tasks and projects as required, document, document, document, and all other duties as assigned
