Job Details Job Location : University of Silicon Valley - San Jose, CA Salary Range : $17.95 - $23.00 Hourly Description Provides one-on-one instruction to Cogswell students to support student academic success. Aims to improve students' academic progress and overall university success. Duties and Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or group tutoring for specific classes and their curriculum. Maintain a schedule of tutees and keep in contact with them over meeting times and help needed. Communicate with the Dean of Students regarding session status and schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Minimum sophomore at the University of Silicon Valley, maintaining a 3.00 GPA, having taken classes they tutor, and having instructor recommendations for those classes. Experience: Interest or experience in helping others, specifically in an academic capacity. Skills: Expertise in tutoring and professional lesson planning, maintaining schedules, and regular communication with managers, tutees, marketing, and admissions. Knowledge of subjects tutored and lesson plans at the library. Working Conditions Tutoring occurs on campus, typically in the library, classroom, studio, or lab, requiring use of computers, writing materials, and audio equipment.
