Student Worker - Cybersecurity The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer/Cybersecurity is looking for student workers to join the team! We are most interested in students who are planning to pursue careers in information security after graduation. There are many open positions in the information security field, but most of them require experience. Essential Functions Monitor security alerts and notices Triage incoming security incidents Identify compromised systems and follow up appropriately with systems administrator Review vulnerability reports and work with the responsible parties on remediation Create new searches, reports, and alerts in Splunk Respond to and research reports of phishing Perform digital forensics relating to various investigations Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled student at Auburn University Must be a US Citizen Expectations An interest in information security A good grasp of basic computing and networking concepts Preferred Qualifications Fundamental understanding of cloud computing concepts Fundamental understanding of offensive security concepts Pay Rate: $12.00/hour Work Hours: 10-20 City position is located in: Auburn State position is located: Alabama EEO Statement AUBURN UNIVERSITY IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION / EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
