The role focuses on managing store operations, leading the team, and ensuring a high level of customer and patient experience. Responsibilities Customer Experience – Monitor and improve the customer service provided by team members, offer reminders and training, and develop action plans to improve both retail and pharmacy experiences. Greet customers and clinic patients, assist with products and services, model best practices, and resolve customer complaints and special needs. Operations – Supervise store and pharmacy operations, including opening/closing, shift changes, task delegation, scheduling, cash handling, bookkeeping, inventory management, merchandising, and safety/maintenance. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and adequate staff knowledge of systems and software. Daily Planning and Execution – Assign daily tasks, set expectations for the store team and assistant managers. Business Performance Management – Analyze financial and performance data, review KPIs, manage asset protection data, coordinate with the pharmacy manager to enhance pharmacy performance, and support clinics as needed. Business Planning – Identify sales opportunities, manage inventory levels, and anticipate fast-selling items and seasonal changes. People and Performance Management – Manage performance, provide feedback, conduct coaching, handle hiring/promotions/terminations, discipline when needed, ensure training completion, and promote teamwork and respectful policies. Training and Personal Development – Participate in training and development activities, pursue required pharmacy technician registration/licensure, and seek ongoing personal development in retail and management. Communications – Serve as liaison between district, corporate, and store, and participate in community outreach and events planning. Qualifications Basic Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience. Pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state, or pharmacy assistant/registered pharmacist as soon as possible per state law (no later than 12 months from start date). Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends. Preferred Qualifications – Bachelor’s Degree; PTCB or ExCPT Certification; three years of retail management experience including supervising others; licensed pharmacy technician or equivalent per state requirements.
