About the Company
Since its start in 2009, United Welding has been a leader in fabricating and installing Misc. metals, Structural Steel, and Process Piping. Our state-of-the-art fabrication facility is conveniently located along Interstate 95 between Washington DC and Richmond in beautiful Fredericksburg VA. Our primary customers are General Contractors that build new, and upgrade existing large scale industrial facilities. We also perform owner direct service work and upgrades at those facilities. All our welders are AWS and ASME certified. We have an ASME QA/QC program and hold an NBIC “R” Stamp for repair and alteration of code stamped pressure vessels. With this capability, we can custom tailor WPS’s and certify our welders to meet our customer’s needs.
About the Role
United Welding is adding a resourceful and outgoing Steel Detailer that uses the latest software to convert designs into detailed fabrication drawings and technical assembly drawings. We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer with experience in Tekla or SolidWorks to create precise shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, construction standards, and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
