Position Description

TheShipping Expeditorreports to the Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for all shipping logistics coordination, assisting with special projects, supporting our offices in St. Croix and St Thomas/St. John and other duties.

Responsibilities

• Effective completion of high-level administrative tasks.
• Shipping and logistics duties including maintaining accurate procurement tracking status using Excel.
• Assist all Managers with special projects.
• Assist in resolving any administrative problems.
• Run company's errands.
• Answer calls from customers regarding their inquiries.
• Provide support to the office and perform their duties as assigned.
• Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Facilitating flow of assets and materials between various parties.

Essential Functions

• Ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy.
• Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person with vendors, shippers, customers and internal departments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree is preferred.
• Logistics coordination and shipping experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally.
• Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day.
• Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies.
• Must be able to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
