As a Security Officer –Prison Site in Harvest, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location by focusing on access control responsibilities. Your primary duties will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible and approachable, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with access-related inquiries and following site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following communication protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as needed.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
