Objective: Provide continuous assistance and administrative support to the Director of Purchasing through tasks such as data entry, cost comparisons, product evaluation, contractor relations, and project implementation, ensuring smooth and professional execution of all responsibilities. Manage the project bidding process, ensuring bids are competitive and submitted on time. Oversee compliance with plans and specifications, update product specification sheets, and maintain alignment with Elevate Design + Build’s quality standards.

Areas of Responsibility:

Project Assistance

Follow ethical practices in all bidding and follow up practices

• Create Purchase Orders
• Produce specifications for spec and custom homes
• Process and manage data/information from a variety of sources, and organize, track and format data for effective analysis
• Consistently track and expedite various projects and initiatives under the direction of the Director of Purchasing
• Research and analyze assigned initiatives and projects and create reports on findings
• Create support material for presentations
• Create a positive and professional relationship with all trades
• Assist with building and maintaining a balanced trade base

General Duties

• Advise the construction team of all contractual rights and obligations in conjunction with scopes of work
• Assist with the value engineering of plans and specifications making recommendations based on experience and knowledge of product
• Alert the Director of Purchasing immediately of any potential cost increases or liabilities that could affect the budget of ongoing and new projects
• Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and appropriate attire at all times in accordance with established standards
• Maintain open communication with other teams and team members to ensure the accurate, timely flow of information
• Assist with all other duties and projects as directed by management

Position Requirements:

· 1-3 years field production experience preferred

· PC and software literate, CoCon and Hyphen Solutions experience a plus

· Strong Excel skills

· Demonstrated judgment, time management, and decision-making capabilities

· Strong analytical ability and highly detailed oriented

· Proven ability to manage tasks to meet established deadlines

· Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, and follow-up capabilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work well with other teams

· Ability to work independently

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift and/or move objects. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger and grasp, using repetitive motions, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, push, pull and lift. This job requires the employee to have close visual acuity.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
