As a member of our healthcare team, you will practice nursing within the ethical framework established by the Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association. Your role will focus on establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, respecting their unique needs and cultural backgrounds while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Standards of Practice: As a Recovery RN, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in recovery. This includes:
• Collecting relevant patient health data.
• Analyzing assessments to determine actual and potential health issues.
• Identifying expected outcomes tailored to each patient's needs.
• Modifying care plans as necessary.
• Coordinating care delivery effectively.
• Promoting health and safety through education and advocacy.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of care plans.
• Standards of Professional Performance: You will demonstrate professional behavior in various areas, including:
• Practicing ethically with cultural competence.
• Communicating effectively across all areas of care.
• Collaborating with patients and key stakeholders.
• Leading initiatives within the healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Education: You must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within one month of hire.

Experience: A minimum of one year of acute RN experience is required. All RNs are encouraged to participate in the SPIRE clinical advancement program.

Licensure: You must hold an active Registered Nurse license in Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is encouraged.

Special Skills: The position demands the ability to assist patients weighing between five and three hundred pounds. You must be prepared for the physical and emotional demands of nursing.
