We are currently seeking a Rebar Detailing Manager to lead our detailing team and ensure efficient, accurate, and timely execution of rebar detailing projects.

Position Summary

The Rebar Detailing Manager is responsible for overseeing all detailing operations, including supervising internal detailers, managing external detailing vendors, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This is a key leadership role requiring a strong technical background, proven team management skills, and a deep understanding of CRSI/ACI standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and promote company culture in alignment with our vision and values.
• Assign and oversee detailing work for internal staff and external vendors to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and project compliance.
• Manage productivity, quality control, and performance evaluations for the detailing team.
• Coordinate directly with customers to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
• Review project change orders, extras, and customer back-charges; coordinate with sales for accurate billing and resolution.
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new detailers and support personnel.
• Stay current on emerging detailing technologies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
• Independently manage and detail complex rebar projects as needed.
• Monitor and manage detailing project workflows using business and drawing tracking systems.
• Ensure compliance with CRSI and ACI codes and the Manual of Standard Practice.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in rebar detailing or a related industry role.
• 3+ years of experience with Rebar CAD or other CAD-based detailing systems (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, ASA).
• 3+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role within a detailing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and resolve technical issues.

Preferred Education

• Associate’s degree in drafting, construction management, or a related technical field.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of CRSI, ACI codes, and rebar detailing standards.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with contract law, construction documents, and business operations.
• Proficiency in project management systems and drawing tracking software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
