About the Role:

As a Specialist in Patient Safety (PSS) at Providence Health & Services Oregon, you will play a vital role in developing and administering programs that ensure patient safety. Your expertise in proactive risk assessment, event investigation, and data analysis will help identify risk areas and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement patient safety programs and interventions.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments and event investigations.
• Analyze data to identify risk areas and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide consultation and education to the care delivery team.
• Foster a culture of continuous quality and process improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• 5 years of acute care experience in a progressively responsible role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Experience with patient safety analysis techniques, including root cause analysis and proactive risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree.
• Certification as a Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Health Care Quality (CPHQ) upon hire.

Working Conditions:

This is a Hybrid position with 80% on-site and 20% remote work. You will primarily work at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center , with occasional travel to Newberg, OR, or Milwaukee, OR.
