Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Policy Center Developer for a 6 month contract that can convert to a permanent role with an insurance company that is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, and was founded in 1928. This position will be primarily remote that may require occasionally coming onsite to the office in Columbus. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop PolicyCenter components: product model, rating engine, APIs, UI, batch processes, and integrations.
• Drive implementation of enhancements and resolve configuration issues.
• Contribute to sprint planning and demos within an Agile development team.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and international consulting partners.
• Write clean, maintainable code and support code reviews.
• Support production Guidewire applications, including on-call responsibilities.
• Use Splunk and DataDog (APM) tools to troubleshoot and improve performance.
• Research new cloud capabilities and perform upgrades.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment for mutual growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience developing in GOSU for PolicyCenter configurations.
• Guidewire Cloud Associate Developer certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment practices.
• Strong communication, creative and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.

Pay Range:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $40-48/hr.
