We are looking for a dedicated Patient Registration Representative to join our team on a long-term contract basis in French Camp, California. This position is part time and can require some weekends. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate patient information, verifying insurance coverage, and guiding patients through registration processes. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in insurance verification and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and input patient information into the hospital system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Verify insurance coverage, including Medi-Cal eligibility, by checking ID cards and related records.

• Explain registration policies and procedures to patients and their families in a clear and precise manner.

• Match account numbers with appropriate financial codes to ensure proper billing and recordkeeping.

• Direct patients to the correct clinic, office, or treatment facility based on their needs.

• Maintain clinic appointment systems to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.

• Collaborate with other departments to address patient inquiries and resolve registration issues promptly.

• Proven experience in insurance verification, including Medi-Cal eligibility checks.
• Familiarity with patient registration processes in a healthcare environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent communication skills to explain policies and guide patients effectively.
• Ability to navigate hospital systems and maintain organized records.
• Flexibility to adapt to scheduling needs and work in a dynamic healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of financial codes and their application in patient accounts.
