Description We are looking for a Patient Registration Representative to join our team in French Camp, California. This long-term contract position is part time and does require some weekends, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to a healthcare environment by assisting patients during the registration process and ensuring accurate insurance verification. Responsibilities: - Gather information from patients or their family members and input the details into the hospital system with precision. - Review and match account numbers to financial codes while verifying insurance coverage, including Medi-Cal eligibility. - Check insurance identification cards and labels, ensuring all patient records are complete and accurate. - Provide clear explanations of registration policies, rules, and procedures to patients. - Direct patients to the appropriate clinic, office, or treatment center based on their needs. - Maintain appointment systems for clinics and ensure schedules are organized effectively. - Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies in insurance verification or account details. - Adapt to flexible scheduling requirements to meet the needs of the healthcare environment. Requirements - Proven experience in insurance verification and patient eligibility processes. - Strong knowledge of medical insurance policies, including Medi-Cal. - Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff. - Proficiency in using hospital systems and maintaining accurate records. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting. - Flexibility to accommodate scheduling changes as needed.
