Responsibilities:

• Gather information from patients or their family members and input the details into the hospital system with precision.

• Review and match account numbers to financial codes while verifying insurance coverage, including Medi-Cal eligibility.

• Check insurance identification cards and labels, ensuring all patient records are complete and accurate.

• Provide clear explanations of registration policies, rules, and procedures to patients.

• Direct patients to the appropriate clinic, office, or treatment center based on their needs.

• Maintain appointment systems for clinics and ensure schedules are organized effectively.

• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies in insurance verification or account details.

• Adapt to flexible scheduling requirements to meet the needs of the healthcare environment.

• Proven experience in insurance verification and patient eligibility processes.
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance policies, including Medi-Cal.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
• Proficiency in using hospital systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling changes as needed.
