Lovelace Women’s Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, and an award-winning breast care center. We are proud to be the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
  • Observe patients’ progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
  • Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
  • Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course.
  • Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification.
