COMPETITIVE WAGE

Position Details

• Department - Prosthodontics
• Travel to our Sturtevant clinic on Wednesdays is required (9115 Durand Ave, Sturtevant, WI 53177)
• Travel to our Franklin Clinic on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the Month is required (6855 S. 27th Street, Franklin, WI 53132)
• Travel to our Milwaukee Clinic 1-2 times per month based on patient case load is required (205 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202)

Schedule

• Monday: 9:10am-4:30pm (1st and 3rd Monday of the month at Kenosha Clinic) 9:30am-4:00pm (2nd and 4th Monday of the month at Franklin Clinic)
• Tuesday: 9:10am-4:30pm (Kenosha Clinic)
• Wednesday: 9:10am-4:30pm (Sturtevant Clinic)
• Thursday: 8:30am-5:30pm (Kenosha Clinic)
• Friday/Saturday: Off
  Total Weekly Hours: 28.28

Job Responsibilities

• Assist provider throughout exam including complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related care
• Explain treatment procedures; seek clarification and understanding from patient
• Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history
• Assist provider with patient education
• Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs
• Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is administered
• Make impressions and fabricate crowns as instructed
• Prepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient record
• Prepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and disinfect operatory
• Order dental supplies
• Provide coverage for Dental Services Representatives to account for absences or high-volume periods

Job Requirements

• Previous Dental Assistant experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of state dental practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA training strongly preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members
• Good customer service skills and ability to work as a team in fast-paced environment
