Job Summary

T he Packaging Contractor is responsible for operating assigned equipment on the Dry Herbicide packaging lines and supporting other operational activities as directed by the shift leader. This role requires fundamental operational knowledge to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance. This is a full-time position on an 8-hour fixed shift, which may transition to a 12-hour shift based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. O perate equipment safely and efficiently following Operating Discipline principles, procedures, and practices.
2. Perform general housekeeping and daily operational tasks such as:
3. Loading containers onto conveyors
4. Packing and stacking boxes onto pallets
5. Operating stretch wrap machines
6. Respond to incidents and participate in Root Cause Analyses as needed.
7. Execute immediate response tasks as assigned by the Immediate Response Leader.
8. Complete all required site certifications within designated timelines.
9. Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
10. Perform basic troubleshooting of process equipment.
11. Handle material movement tasks including loading/unloading freight, mixing raw materials, and transferring them to vessels.
12. Conduct warehousing activities, including forklift operation and sample collection.
13. Support other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Ability and willingness to:
3. Lift up to 50 lbs.
4. Perform repetitive motion and/or lifting tasks with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience operating a forklift
2. Basic computer skills
3. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work
4. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (not required)
