Job Description Looking for a career in the Faribault area? Check out this job! Doherty Staffing is partnering with a leading cheese production company in Faribault, MN. We are seeking candidates for Packager positions on 2nd shift. The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm- 12:30am. Compensation for these temp-to-hire positions is $21.19 per hour. What a Packager does: - Understand and follow through to ensure daily packaging schedule is completed in a cost-effective manner
- Ensure GMP's, Safety, and Sanitation Procedures are followed including all documentation is properly filled out
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling for each product and customer, and inspect all equipment to ensure proper operation and safety
- Act accountable for proper operation and maintenance of equipment, i.e., scale, printer, sealers, crumbler, etc.
- Communicate with Inventory Clerk to ensure all packaging needs are met, and report any loss of containers, packaging materials, ingredients, and products
What you need to be a Packager: - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies.
- Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate production yields and understand weights and measures.
- Must be able to communicate verbally, understand, and write in the English language.
- Meet physical requirements of the job, including standing/walking for long periods, repetitive hand use, lifting up to 50 lbs. #NEjobhunt
