Job Description:

Obtains patient signatures on required forms. Collects and scans up-to-date insurance cards and driver's licenses. Confirms, adds, deletes, or updates patient insurance and personal information in scheduling software. Verifies and obtains authorization as needed for office visits and sets appointment authorization status. Activates accounts and creates recurring status accounts for specific appointment visits. Checks patients in and out, ensuring all necessary information is accurate. Schedules, cancels, and reschedules appointments per patient and physician requests. Completes the process for appointment authorization in the system. Collects co-pays for treatments and procedures, enters payment amounts into the computer, and issues receipts to patients if applicable. Other duties as assigned. Plans and directs day-to-day office operations. Transfers calls in a courteous and professional manner when appropriate. Answers the telephone promptly and courteously, following established policies and procedures.
