Job Description and Duties Under the direction of a Senior Right of Way Agent, the incumbent regularly performs clerical support duties and consistently exercises initiative, independence, and originality. Duties include typing various forms and letters, preparing complex agreements and reports, entering and reporting data through databases and programs, sorting and distributing mail, organizing and maintaining files, and assisting with special projects. Eligibility and Exam Information Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Office Technician (Typing) exam. If you do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) or will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible. A valid typing certificate must be provided prior to hire. A 40 words per minute typing certificate is required and must be submitted prior to hire. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating state‑owned or leased vehicles. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview or appointment. Education must be verified with official or unofficial transcripts, and foreign credentials must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
