Scott County Hospital, located in Scott City, KS, is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant, for our facility. Purpose of Position: Performs treatments of the Occupational Therapy department as prescribed by the referring physician and Occupational Therapist plan of care.

Essential Functions:

Treats inpatients, outpatients, and nursing home patients accordingly, per physician and Occupational Therapist plan of care for Occupational Therapy.

1. Maintains records pertinent to patient treatment as required by the state for proper reimbursement.
2. Communicates with Ordering Physicians to assure proper treatment for patients receiving Occupational Therapy.
3. Communicates needs and concerns of department with Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy supervisor.
4. Performs paperwork duties as directed by Occupational Therapist and Director of Rehab.

Additional Responsibilities:

Keep Department and equipment clean

• Registration of patients
• Schedule patients
• Departmental paperwork and supply ordering

Education, Qualifications, Experience:

1. Must meet requirements for licensure in the State of Kansas.
2. Must have basic knowledge of Occupational Therapy Assistant services.
3. Needs a basic knowledge of disease and the healing process and benefits of Occupational Therapy services.
4. Must maintain continuing education credit mandated by the State of Kansas.
