Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and proactive Night Shift On-Site Manager to oversee nightly operations at our production facility. This role is responsible for managing a temporary workforce, ensuring staffing levels meet production demands, conducting safety observations, and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and the customer regarding staffing, shortages, and upcoming needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workforce Oversight:

  • Supervise and support temporary staff during night shift operations.
  • Ensure all scheduled workers are present and properly assigned to roles.
  • Coordinate to address call-offs, no-shows, or last-minute staffing needs.

• Staffing & Scheduling:

  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels based on production volume and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shift rosters and attendance records.
  • Communicate upcoming staffing needs to appropriate stakeholders.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Conduct regular safety walks and observations throughout the facility.
  • Ensure all team members are following safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
  • Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses promptly.

• Customer Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer during night shift hours.
  • Provide updates on staffing levels, production progress, and any shortages or delays.
  • Collaborate with the customer to anticipate future workforce needs.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Complete nightly shift reports summarizing attendance, incidents, and key updates.
  • Escalate any critical issues to day shift leadership or management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a supervisory or management role within a production or warehouse environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and workforce compliance standards.
• Flexibility to work overnight hours and occasional weekends or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing temporary or contract labor.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
