Position Description:

The Facilities & Maintenance Manager serves as the leader of the maintenance department while also overseeing all facilities, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) functions at the Bloomfield site. This role is responsible for supervising daily maintenance operations and processes, coordinating and managing subcontractors, and ensuring timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks. The manager assists with budget development and tracking, manages capital projects from planning through execution, and regularly reports status updates to both the local leadership team and senior leadership. The role includes hands-on troubleshooting and repair of machinery to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. Additionally, the manager is responsible for facility-related troubleshooting and coordination with vendors for maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and snow removal, lawn sprinklers, and other general facility needs. In the EHS function, this position helps lead Bloomfield site safety initiatives, participates in monthly virtual meetings with other Enjet Aero site leads, and collaborates with retained consultants to ensure compliance with Air Emission Permit requirements and RCRA hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations. This is a salaried, exempt position.

ABLE TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

• Strong mechanical ability to troubleshoot mechanical machine issues, disassemble and reassemble machines in a timely, safe and efficient fashion.
• Comply with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
• Support and follow the guidelines of OSHA regulations.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Safely use basic hand, power, and air tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Able to walk, stand, move around equipment, bend, kneel, squat, reach, stretch and effectively use ladders.
• Communicate and lead team members and work well with others.
• Keep all chemicals used labeled to comply with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Manage the processes for Maintenance Action requests.
• Manage the Enjet Aero Near Miss (Observations which could be a safety or business issue) process for our site.
• Possess and must maintain a valid state driver’s license to drive company van as needed.

JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong project management skills, self-starting and motivated to complete all required tasks.
• Responsible for repairs and maintains all machines and equipment, including preventative maintenance help as needed. Work with OEM companies and other repair/maintenance vendors with requesting quotes for services, making PO Requisitions to our Purchasing Department, follow up and communications with those vendors through the Work Order Completion and Billing processes.
• Troubleshoots repairs, installs, erects, moves, and/or dismantles all types of machinery and auxiliary production equipment.
• Respond and resolve maintenance issues that affect production quality and performance in a timely manner. Ensure the work is performed correctly and follows all approved procedures.
• Maintain specific TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance) schedule of CNC machines – such as but not limited to replacement coolant, maintain oil levels, filter cleaning or replacing, machine wipe down and machine surrounding area during each TPM, items done as needed.
• Properly lubricate and maintain equipment as per the manufacturer recommended lubrication schedules
• Maintain machine service records and carry out monthly TPM paperwork process
• Properly mix cleaning chemicals and agents to manufacture spec or as directed by management
• Communicate appropriately with other employees, building strong rapport with machine operators
• Identify and resolve possible safety and maintenance issues.
• Maintain facility to highest standards, endure that everything works as needed. Able to find issues that could lead to future problems/failure.
• Perform routine HVAC building RTU inspections, looking for problems, and replacing filters.
• Take notice of possible safety issues that might arise - Example: Oil, coolant, water, etc. on the floor – properly address.

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:

• CNC control operation
• Basic single phase electrical
• 3-phase 208-480v electrical
• Woodworking of all kinds
• Service experience with hydraulic systems, compressed air and pumps
• Strong working knowledge with the use of mechanic and power tools
• Plumbing including sweat pipes, cut and fabricated copper fittings
• Safe forklift operation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
