SysOps Engineer

Candid Health is seeking our first dedicated SysOps Engineer hire for our TechOps Team. In this role, you'll work to enable teams of engineers and operators in tackling some of the hardest and most meaningful problems in the US healthcare system, while maintaining a best in class security posture. You'll be responsible for owning the technical ecosystem that supports all aspects of Candid Health's strategic objectives and powers all of the work we do. Our ideal candidate is technically adept across a broad span of tools and devices, with an eye for detail and process improvement.

What You'll Do

• Own and automate the end to end operational lifecycles for employee onboarding and offboarding, including account and device management and procurement.
• Set up and maintain secure endpoint configuration of workstations and mobile devices using MDM, EDR and complementary software like Munki, AutokPkg and Santa.
• Be responsible for the secure implementation, management, and internal support of critical business applications including SSO, SAML and MFA enforcement.
• Create a modern zero trust environment using Google Context Aware Access (CAA) and Identity Aware Proxy (IAP) to enforce complex access rules.
• Architect and implement scalable processes for all aspects of Candid Health's Technical Operations function.
• Work closely with varying stakeholders including Engineering, People Operations, and Facility Operations.

Who You Are

• You come with 4+ years of hands-on Technical Operations or Information Technology experience in either a startup or scaled environment with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
• Hands-on experience managing tools within our stack: Slack, 1Password, Google Workforce, Rippling, Tailscale. However, familiarity with parallel technologies is equally welcomed.
• You're not just technically sound; you enjoy collaborating with others and are motivated by delivering products and processes that make their work easier and more effective.
• Continuous learning is your mantra. You stay up to date on the latest in corporate technology and processes - you want to expand your scope as a technologist.
• You bring a security first mindset to the role, and ensure that all processes and tools protect our customers and their patients' most sensitive data.

Pay Transparency

The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $165,000 USD; commensurate with experience. The listed range is a guideline from Pave data, and the actual base salary may be modified based on factors including job-related skills, experience/qualifications, interview performance, market data, etc. Total compensation for this position may also include equity, sales incentives (for sales roles), and employee benefits. Given Candid Health's funding and size, we heavily value the potential upside from equity in our compensation package. Further note that Candid Health has minimal hierarchy and titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.

Please note: We are looking for employees to join our in-person culture at one of our offices (Denver, New York, or San Francisco). Our weekly schedule is 4 days in-office and 1 day working remotely.
