LPN- Plastic Surgery

Advanced Specialty Care, P.C. is seeking a Part-time/Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to work alongside our team of collegiate Plastic Surgeons and clinical team members.
  OBJECTIVE:

Be able to demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs, using the nursing process on a continuous basis while demonstrating accountability for nursing practice through planned & continuous professional growth and development. 

Duties:

• Wound care.
• Sterile setups and procedures.
• Patient education.
• Performs independent nurse functions based on practice policies and standards.
• Work collaboratively with other clinical team members and physicians.
• Patient communication and telephone calls.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of LPN work experience in a medical office setting. (preferably a plastic surgeon's office).
• Prior surgical experience is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current CT LPN State license.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Must be able to identify and respond to emergencies and support approximately 50 -- 100 pounds.
• Proficient with the use of Electronic Health Records.
• Travel may be required to all satellite locations.

Schedule:

• Full Time-Monday through Friday.
• The candidate must be able to work a flexible work schedule.

Salary based on experience.

• Bonus offered: $2,000 after 6 months of employment; $2,000 after one year of employment.
