Cardiac Surgery 4K
Post cabbages, post vas, bypasses,
Big thing for both units (4K & 4J Stepdown), is the acuity they can float in and out of ICU
Ratios 1:3s first day to them, then 1:4, eventually 1:5s
Heart line with surgery 1:3
Only floors that take the sodium patients
Charge dedicated, try to keep 3 PCTs, remote tele monitoring , also have bedside monitoring (no LPNs because of the ratios and acuity)
24 bed unit,
3 negative pressure rooms - so they can also have COVID
Bipap 1;4
Highflow 1:4
Unit based educator, their own social worker, case manager
Going to start taking thrombectomy patients
ACLS, BLS, NIH
