What will you do?

This is a mid-level Web Designer role on our Marketing team. With your assistance, our content team's hard work will find the right audience and deliver information and solutions through web and email touchpoints.You will help keep our company and client websites firing on all cylinders and ensure visitors get the most out of their online interactions.

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic person who is ready to learn. A strong propensity for attention to detail and out-of-the-box thinking is a must. Your knowledge of web design and top-level optimization practices will wow your coworkers and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Web Design & Development:
• Create and maintain websites, web pages, and landing pages while adhering to brand standards and enforcing design/development best practices.
• Lead the ideation and creation of web design comps aligned with content and ad campaign strategies and goals.
• SEO & Optimization:
• Maximize content delivery using industry-standard SEO and provide expert guidance to team members.
• Spearhead ongoing website optimization initiatives through data gathering, analysis, and A/B testing.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
• Mentor junior web designers on technical issues, best practices, and innovative solutions.
• Work with frontend developers to ensure optimal design, SEO, and tracking implementation.
• Collaborate with marketing data analysts and digital marketing specialists to implement and maintain ad trackers.
• Content & Platform Management:
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of HTML email templates across various CRM systems.
• Work within a customer data platform (CDP) to support marketing initiatives.
• Professional Development:
• Continuously stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure innovative and effective solutions.

Position Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Web Design or a related field,5+ years of proven work experience equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to mentor others.
• Proficiency with a variety of CMS platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity for in-depth discovery work.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors (Less or Sass).
• Proficient in technical SEO best practices and implementation.
• Knowledge of ADA compliance best practices.
• Experience with design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Astro.
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
• Knowledge of SiteImprove for accessibility and SEO.
• Experience with MailChimp or similar CRM platforms.
• Familiarity with Bloomreach or other customer data platforms (CDPs).
• Knowledge of JavaScript.
• Experience with ClickUp or other project management tools.
