Cutting edge flexographic label printing company in southern CA is in expansion mode. Due to client demand, the company is searching to hire a Production Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct and manage 10 production personnel in narrow web flexographic label printing operations.
• Manage QC of incoming and outgoing products.
• Schedule and control work orders, labor, quality and all functions involved in label print production.
• Assist operators with printing and press issues.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with internal and external vendors as needed.
• Support R&D for new label materials and converting equipment.
• Assist with purchasing raw materials and production items for 2 printing facilities.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing Practices and SOP's to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Manage monthly inventory and assist managers with forecasts and reports.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' management experience in narrow web flexographic label printing operations.
• Excellent technical knowledge on label printing presses (Mark Andy a plus), printing plates, tooling, inks, varnishes, die cutting and slitting operations.
• Able to assist press operators with printing and press issues.
• Experience working with industry vendors and suppliers.
• Strong communication skills with hourly employees, peer managers, vendors, clients and C level management.
• Very good work ethic that promotes a team based work environment.
• Prior experience operating narrow web flexographic printing presses preferred.
• English and Spanish speaking skills highly preferred.
