Job Description: Junior Network Engineer Akkodis is seeking a Junior Network Engineer located in Phoenix, AZ. This is a contract-to-hire position with an onsite start for 2-3 months, then transitioning to a hybrid work model. The role involves travel two weeks per month (Thursday to Tuesday). Salary Range: $100,000 - $105,000 per year, based on skills and experience. The range provided by Akkodis is for informational purposes; actual pay will be determined through discussions with your recruiter. Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues. Enhance network performance and scalability. Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Implement security measures to safeguard network assets. Manage hybrid cloud environments and integrate cloud services. Collaborate with IT team to develop network policies. Perform network assessments and audits for compliance. Automate tasks using scripts and tools. Provide technical support and documentation. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies. Coordinate with third-party vendors such as telecom carriers and cabling vendors. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 2-4 years of network engineering experience. Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with network security tools and practices. Proficiency with Cisco Meraki, Extreme switches, Palo Alto, SonicWall firewalls. Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure). Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
