Jewish Activities Coordinator The Memphis Jewish Community Center (MJCC) 6560 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38138 Position Status: Part-Time, 10 hours a week; Salaried Responsible for creating, developing and implementing the Jewish activities services in consort with the Fogelman JFS Director of Social Services. Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with senior service providers in the community. Work with lay leaders and volunteers when appropriate to evaluate service delivery and plan for new and/or expanded program and services. Provide Jewish content and engagement opportunities to isolated seniors. The JAC will go to senior living facilities and to the homes of home-bound seniors to both provide content directly and, drawing on community resources, to coordinate others to do so. Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment where every client and participant is treated with dignity and respect, in a friendly, personalized manner. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of Jewish customs and values. Previous experience working with seniors is a plus but not required. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new and/or expanded services. Dynamic and innovative with strong organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal skills relating to senior adults.
