Our client, a dynamic player in the food industry, is seeking an Inventory Specialist/Handyman to join their team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be part of the operations team supporting efficient inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Inventory Specialist/Handyman

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

Pay Range: $22 per hour

What's the Job?
Responsibilities

• Your role will ensure merchandise stocked and ready to sell at all times
• You'll maintain records of all store inventory, create reports for the General Manager regularly, and you'll make certain that our sales records and actual store inventory match
• Keeping all our stock organized and replenished is key!
• You'll inspire customer wonder by keeping track of our merchandise and other store products and supplies so we are always ready to sell our sweet treats and accessories
• You'll keep things organized and neat, and you'll place orders for supplies and merchandise
• You'll report on how things are going to the General Manager, making sure the inventory and sales records match
• You'll pack up anything that may be defective for return, and you'll retrieve items from the stockroom 
• You will unload deliveries, and you'll help customers on the sales floor as needed
• You will learn to operate our Point of Sale system and other sales equipment too
• You'll need to keep your uniform neat and clean and help other team members do the same
• You will be moving around, lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently
• You might have to clean or help out with all aspects of our store operation- and things will be busy!

What's Needed?

• Experience with inventory management and tracking.
• Stand-up forklift certification or experience.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
