Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Human Resources Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship Program. The Human Resources Intern will support various teams across our People Resources function including HR Operations, Learning, and Talent Acquisition with a primary focus on HR Compliance.

U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May - August. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located in Appleton, WI and will start at 425 Better Way, Appleton, WI 54915. We are excited to be transitioning to our new corporate headquarters during this internship timeframe and this position will eventually be located at 222 W College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit and validate team member data

  • Assist in updating and creating Total Rewards communications and policy revisions

  • Assist with coordination of wellness, vendors, and health fairs/events

  • Assist in coordinating learning offerings: scheduling, registration, tracking, etc.

  • Assist with the recruitment process and hiring events

  • Assist with process improvement projects

  • Provide guidance to leaders and HR partners on I-9 regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Support ongoing efforts to build sustainable HR Compliance processes

  • Assist the HR Compliance team with I-9 employment verification

  • Other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Junior or Senor status preferred

  • Experience analyzing data

  • Ability to recognize opportunities for new, creative, and innovate solutions

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, including proper use of English, grammar and punctuation in business correspondence

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, HRIS experience a plus

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while producing excellent work results

  • Ability to professionally network with peers in the market
