Bishop & Company is seeking an HR Generalist for a non-profit organization in Honolulu.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Operations Manager, this role provides administrative and operational support across all HR functions. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, benefits and compensation administration, training support, compliance with employment laws, data reporting, records management, and implementation of HR policies and procedures. The position works closely with managers and HR team members to support staffing needs, employee relations, payroll-related activities, employee recognition, and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. Additional duties include supporting audits and reports, assisting with HR projects, and performing other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll, benefits, and general HR functions
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred (e.g., ADP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in standard computer applications (e.g., MS Office, HRIS systems)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
  • Employment contingent upon successful background check

  • Pay : $26.44/hr – $31.25/hr DOE
