Job Title: Host/Hostess

Position Overview:

As a Host/Hostess at Queen’s Harbour, you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. You are not just greeting guests—you are an ambassador of our vision, delivering an exceptional and welcoming atmosphere. Your role is to manage the flow of the restaurant, ensure guests feel valued and cared for, and support the team in delivering impeccable service. You will be an essential part of cultivating connections, fostering a warm environment, and embracing each moment with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver an Exceptional Experience: Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression and seamless seating experience.
• Create a Welcoming Atmosphere: Keep the dining area organized, clean, and inviting for guests, making sure the environment is always conducive to a great experience.
• Manage Guest Flow: Efficiently seat guests while considering wait times, special requests, and optimal table assignments.
• Be a Menu Maestro: Provide guests with information about the menu, daily specials, and offer recommendations when needed.
• Facilitate Communication: Coordinate between guests, kitchen, and service team to accommodate requests, reservations, and dietary needs.
• Support Service: Assist servers and other staff by ensuring guests have everything they need during their wait, maintaining smooth transitions throughout the dining experience.
• Stay Proactive: Monitor the dining room, anticipate guest needs, and assist the team in maintaining a fast-paced yet organized environment.
• Close with Care: Thank guests as they leave, ensuring they had an exceptional experience and inviting them to return.

Qualifications:  

• Strong Communication Skills
• Customer Service Focused
• Organized & Efficient
• Basic Math Skills
• Hospitality Experience
