Global Head of Policy Development - Trust and Safety The Trust & Safety (T&S) Policy team is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive environment across our platforms. We develop, refine, and enforce community policies that guide user behavior and content creation, ensuring our global community can express themselves freely while being protected from harm. We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Global Policy Development within our Trust & Safety organization. In this role, you will lead a global team of policy experts responsible for creating principles, policies, guidelines, and educational materials that govern content and conduct across TikTok. Responsibilities include: Policy Development: Lead the global team through the entire policy lifecycle, defining principles, frameworks, and creating clear, actionable policies and educational materials. Stakeholder Management: Build partnerships and collaborate with internal teams to ensure policies are effective, feasible, and aligned with company objectives. Crisis Management: Serve as the escalation point for complex content safety issues, providing guidance and facilitating decision-making. Proactive Adaptation: Engage with external experts, stay updated on global trends, and adapt policies accordingly. Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture and optimize policy development processes. Qualifications include: 5+ years leading global teams with a proven track record in policy development at scale. Deep understanding of Trust & Safety issues, legal, regulatory, and cultural nuances. Ability to build consensus and collaborate across functions, translating policy into technical solutions. Exceptional communication and analytical skills. Experience managing high-stakes escalations and balancing priorities. Preferred qualifications include influencing executive leadership and thriving in a complex global organization.
