About the Role

This is a foundational role within our organization to lead our frontend experience and user interface design. We are fully in-person located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are building for the future!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on creating world-class user experiences that bring cutting-edge AI to life. You'll design and build interfaces that feel more like interactive games than traditional software, while developing native iOS applications that showcase the full potential of personal AI.

Responsibilities:

• UI/UX Excellence: Design and build stunning, intuitive user interfaces. You are a Figma power user.
• Native iOS Development: Deep experience across the Swift and iOS programming landscapes.
• Interactive Design: You have a unique toolkit of contemporary (2025) design languages and frameworks. You do not rely on Adobe tools or commodity JS libraries. For instance, you use GSAP.
• Cross-Platform Development: Build responsive web applications using modern frontend frameworks while maintaining design consistency across platforms.
• Asset Repository Creation and Maintenance: Establish and maintain comprehensive repositories of design assets that are composable across platforms and interfaces.
• Quality Assurance: Experience with hands-on QA.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or foreign equivalent
• 4+ years of frontend development experience with strong design sensibilities
• Open to applicants with undergraduate degrees from Art Schools with exceptional portfolios and coding skills.
• Swift & iOS Development: Proficiency in Swift and iOS development, with experience shipping native iOS applications
• Game-Quality Design Skills: Demonstrated ability to create visually stunning, interactive interfaces that feel engaging and intuitive
• Modern Frontend Stack: Expertise in React, Vue, or Angular, along with TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Design Tools Proficiency: Figma
• Animation & Interaction: Showing a portfolio here will enhance your candidacy, but is not required.
• User-Centric Mindset: Common sense.

Preferred:

• Background in game design, game development, or interactive media
• Experience with 3D graphics, WebGL, or interactive visualizations
• GSAP experience
• Web Assembly experience

Technical Skills We Value:

• Frontend Frameworks: React, Vue.js, Angular, Typescript
• Mobile Development: Swift, SwiftUI, iOS SDK, XCode
• Styling & Animation: Advanced CSS, SASS/SCSS, CSS-in-JS, Framer Motion, Lottie
• Build Tools: Webpack, Vite, or similar bundling tools
• Version Control: Git workflows and collaborative development practices
• Testing: Unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Performance Tools: Browser dev tools, performance profiling, and optimization techniques\
