Job Description

Position Details Receptionist/Front Desk, hospital registration, Full-time, 40 hrs./week, typically 08:00am-04:30pm, Monday-Friday, must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed. Non-Exempt, Union, Hourly. Position Summary Responsible to provide a variety of clerical services to support day‑to‑day operations of the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, admitting patients, acting as cashier, accepting payments for procedures and supplies, pulling and filing charts, completing proper paperwork for those charts, answering phones, faxing & copying paperwork, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate accounting of the clinic. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Licensure/Certification/Registration Current CPR certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience Prior clerical experience in a medical setting preferred. Experience with Microsoft Suite computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred. Job Knowledge and Skills Capable of performing duties as assigned; must learn skill sets necessary for clinical duties quickly. Able to communicate well with the public and team members, show tact and discretion in varying job situations, maintain strict confidentiality, deliver patient care under physician supervision, follow verbal and written instructions, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, be proficient in operating business office computer programs, and adhere to established hospital policies and procedures.
