Position Summary

Seattle Bank's Partner Banking business helps fintechs, marketplaces and brands deliver financial services to their customers. A strategic element of our business, we are uniquely positioned to develop mutually beneficial partnerships due to our investment in configurable, scalable technology, strong regulatory posture, and disciplined risk management.

The Fintech Partnership Manager will own partner relationships, ensuring that all deliverables are met to and from our partners and will be the primary day-to-day partner contact. Key activities include: Monitoring and evaluating the partner's progress and strategy evolution, coordinating and developing of the agendas and materials for partner or internal facing meetings, evaluating, documenting and implementing partnership changes, and ongoing relationship management with the partner. Will immediately escalate performance shortfalls or red flags. Additionally, the Partnership Manager will assist on pre-flights and up-front diligence on prospective partnerships.

Reports to the Head of Partnerships. Works closely with Product or Program Managers and may direct the work of analysts on research, monitoring, and tracking. Liaises directly with key internal stakeholders, including the Fintech Risk Manager, CIIO, Credit Administration and compliance, and will work closely across the Bank with processing, operations and compliance teams.

Essential Duties

  • Performs initial discovery for potential partners and fintech solutions.
  • Obtains initial and ongoing due diligence materials for Fintech Risk Manager and Vendor Management's review.
  • Participates in partner launch meetings and testing.
  • Leads regular internal partner meetings, developing the agenda, providing updated dashboards and progress reports, and maintaining notes and follow-up priorities and task for managing the partnership.
  • Performs periodic reviews of all partners and program targets and obtains required approvals.
  • Prepares recommendations of program changes.
  • Conducts regular meetings with partners to discuss results of activity, trends in errors, volume, new technology/enhancements, pricing changes, and monitoring results.
  • Coordinates with IT for any reports required from the data lake for monitoring and/or reporting.
  • Prepares Board reports that include profitability data and KPI/KRI data.
  • Assists Fintech Risk Manager with projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned by CBO.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in financial service partner, account, program or relationship management.
  • 5+ years experience in financial services.
  • Knowledgeable of fintech ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of banking—or like industry, such as wealth/investment management, insurance, etc.—products and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel, and able to quickly learn other relevant business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an individual while coordinating with departmental teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Cooperative and professional attitude.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers/partners, management, internal stakeholders or vendors.
  • Experience in project implementation or management preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
