We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to oversee parking logistics for events at The Ohio State University/CampusParc in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves managing parking operations, ensuring smooth experiences for attendees, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, with expertise in supervising teams and handling budgets.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement parking plans tailored to each event’s size, location, and attendance.
• Coordinate with event organizers to understand specific parking requirements and preferences.
• Train and supervise staff, including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and event teams, ensuring efficient operations.
• Manage event budgets, monitor financial performance, and prepare employee reports.
• Address operational challenges and provide solutions, often outside regular business hours.
• Design parking layouts to maximize space utilization and streamline traffic flow.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage traffic flow to prevent congestion.
• Communicate parking procedures effectively through various channels, including social media and event apps.
• Conduct post-event evaluations, analyzing outcomes and implementing improvements for future events.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive event management experience.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities to handle parking-related challenges effectively.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with diverse stakeholders.

• Familiarity with parking revenue systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or handle event materials.
