Entry to Junior Level Software Developer/Analyst Pay: Competitive Employment type: Full-Time Job Description Req#: 5044 Torch Technologies is seeking Software Developers/Analysts to write software for simulations, process data with scripts, and develop optimizations for distributed and/or parallel processing. The position requires coding knowledge and enthusiasm for learning. Candidates should be proficient in C/C++ and have an understanding of software development, testing, or architecture. Experience with system-of-systems simulations is desired. The candidate will execute existing models and simulations to support analysis against existing results. Qualified applicants will have strong programming skills, be able to work independently, and proactively ensure task completion. The software development follows an agile process within a team where each individual is responsible for their assigned tasks. Problem-solving skills Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python Experience with Windows and Linux environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired experience includes: Modeling and simulation architectures DoD software development Team-based software development tools (Git, Jira, GitLab, etc.) Object-oriented design Software threading and network communications Multi-language programming Containerized software environments and applications Position requires the candidate to meet requirements for a final security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will render the candidate ineligible for this position.
