Overview

The Emerging Talent Training Manager leads the INVEST Program training team within the Learning Strategy & Emerging Talent (LSET) function. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of foundational claims' training to early-career professionals entering the organization through the INVEST Program. As a first-line people leader, the Manager ensures that training delivery is high-quality, consistent, and aligned with the established curriculum—while also serving as a critical bridge between the training function and the operational claims branches.

This role requires strong collaboration across Claims Operations to monitor caseload assignments, manage licensing, program checkpoints, and ensure a smooth and balanced onboarding experience. The ideal candidate is equal parts people leader, instructional strategist, and operational problem-solver—capable of managing escalations, mentor trainers, and ensuring INVEST participants are set up for long-term success.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and manage a team of 3–6 direct reports (Training Specialists and Senior Training Specialists) assigned to the INVEST Program
  • Ensure training delivery aligns to the approved INVEST curriculum and follows instructional best practices
  • Collaborate with claims branches to closely monitor program participant caseloads, ensuring a gradual ramp-up that balances learning with real-world experience
  • Partner with Operations leadership to plan workload transitions, support trainee progress, and troubleshoot onboarding challenges
  • Act as point of contact for escalation management between the training team and operational teams, ensuring timely resolution of concerns
  • Oversee and support licensing progress, including coordination of study schedules, testing logistics, and reporting
  • Analyze training data, learner feedback, and operational input to drive continuous program improvement
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support to trainers, fostering high engagement and instructional excellence
  • Contribute to broader LSET strategy by identifying opportunities to enhance the INVEST experience and scale best practices

About You

  • 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring training professionals; prior people management strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in P&C claims handling, training, or learning & development
  • Deep understanding of claims operations and the needs of early-career professionals in a regulated, performance-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, particularly between training and operations functions
  • Familiarity with licensing processes and onboarding requirements in insurance or other regulated industries
  • Proven ability to use data to inform decision-making and program enhancements
  • Experience supporting trainers in both live facilitation and digital content development (e.g., Camtasia, Articulate, Canva, Microsoft 365)
  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a learner-first mindset—especially when working with individuals new to the workforce

Preferred:

  • Current or prior work within a TPA or Insurance Carrier environment is highly preferred
